FAQs
Whether you're planning to relax and have more of a "spa" type experience or want deeper bodywork to improve sports-based performance, book a therapeutic massage session and describe your intention on the client intake form when you book.
Add on 30 minutes of Thai massage for a full body stretch session without having to lift a finger. You can also book a full hour of this session type.
If you're feeling stiff, bloated, and sluggish, book a lymphatic drainage session to move stagnant fluid from the inside out.

Gua sha is a traditional Chinese treatment method using a thin, smooth stone or metal tool to stimulate blood flow in the body's superficial tissues. It's especially helpful in providing immediate changes in mobility of chronically tight tissue. Oil is applied to the area being worked, and the tool is scraped along major muscle groups in short or long strokes. We can use this technique on a smaller scale within regular therapeutic massages, but we also offer gua sha as the primary modality in full body gua sha sessions. I recommend this type of session for athletes.
** Gua sha will leave temporary and harmless red markings or splotches where used on some areas of the skin. This redness usually disappears within one to two days, and some areas may bruise post-session. Gua sha is NOT recommended for those with clotting disorders or those who are taking blood thinners.
Thai massage is a form of bodywork similar to assisted stretching poses. The practitioner uses a cushioned mat on the floor as the workspace and will combine compressions, stretching and lengthening, spinal decompression, twisting, and traditional massage to invite more space throughout the body. Clients can expect to leave the mat feeling open, mobile, and refreshed.
Clients should wear or bring a set of a clothes they wear for working out.
Intraoral massage technique works on both the outside and the inside of the mouth. The method includes gentle work inside the check muscles and along the jaw line. The goals are to release tension and discomfort that could be associated with TMJ, vertigo, migraines, and tinnitus. Currently Ginger is our only therapist who incorporates this technique into her sessions. Make sure you let her know you'd like this kind of support at the beginning of your session.
The lymphatic system is the drainage system of the body. It’s comprised of lymph nodes throughout the body and pathways through which fluid travels and accumulates. Lymphatic massage focuses on moving stagnant fluid through drainage pathways for the purpose of increased blood flow to chronic pain areas. Most people describe a newfound sense of lightness and clarity post-session. Symptoms of a stagnant or blocked lymphatic system include swelling, bloating, and sluggishness. People experiencing stress in the form of injuries or surgeries, chronic illness, or major emotional traumas can greatly benefit from lymphatic drainage sessions.
Ginger’s style of lymphatic work starts by clearing the major lymph pathway around the collar bone and chest, moving towards the abdomen with a gentle tapping, jostling, or constant pressure. Depending on how the client responds, she will move into deeper pressures as needed.
